Vasanta Innovations was engaged to design and deploy a complete IT infrastructure for a leading university’s new campus. The project encompassed networking, server infrastructure, computer labs, and a computer-based testing (CBT) centre.

The university needed a future-proof IT infrastructure that could support:

- Online examinations and CBT for recruitment drives
- High-availability connectivity for academic research

Our Solution
Network Infrastructure
We designed and deployed a campus-wide network with:
- Redundant 10 Gbps core switching
- Wi-Fi 6 access points covering all buildings
- MPLS connectivity between campus buildings
- Centralized network management platform
Server Room & Data Centre
- Designed and built a Tier-II equivalent server room
- Deployed rack servers for core academic systems
- Implemented UPS and precision cooling systems
- Set up 24/7 remote monitoring
Computer Labs
- 200-seat computer lab with latest hardware
- Structured cabling following TIA-568 standards
- Centralized software deployment via SCCM
- Thin client deployment for resource efficiency
CBT Centre
- 100-seat computer-based testing facility
- Biometric attendance and surveillance integration
- Dedicated high-speed internet connectivity
- Integration with national examination platforms
Results
The project was completed on schedule and within budget, delivering significant improvements in campus IT capabilities.
